Blessing Day

We blessed Jake a couple of weeks ago. It was great to have family in town. We missed all of you that could not be here. Jake is such a sweet boy. He has been a wonderful addition to our family. He brings a lot of joy to us. He is starting to smile and coo, and even slept through the night twice this week. Yah!!!!

Signs of Spring!

When Alexa got home from school today it was sunny and warm. I made the kids some sidewalk paint, and they had a great time making beautiful works of art. I am so excited for spring to be here. To make sidewalk paint mix 1 cup baking soda, 1/4 cup corn starch, food coloring and water together. Mix and paint. It is so fun to paint outside!

I'm So Glad When Daddy Comes Home!

My kids LOVE to wrestle with their daddy when he gets home from work. It normally starts with Steve laying down on the floor and the kids attacking him, and ends with me saying that they better stop before somebody gets hurt. It makes me happy to see them enjoying each others company.

Meet Baby Jake

Here is baby Jake! You can't get much fresher than that!

Jake Merrill Saville was born on January 9th, 2012. He weighed 7 pounds 4 ounces and is absolutely perfect. He is such a good baby and a wonderful addition to our family.

Baby Update

Hello everyone-

I figured that I should probably update you about what is happening with our little papoose. I went to the doctor today and rearranged some of our original plans. I was scheduled to have a C-Section on January 3rd, but for some reason I was having second...and third....and fourth.... thoughts about going through with it. I don't know why, (because I have a great experience with my last one) but it just didn't feel right. So the new plan is- We will wait to see if I go into labor on my own. If I do not have a baby by Friday the 6th my doctor will arrange for me to have a C-Section at the next available surgery time. All is well. We are just playing the waiting game now. It is odd situations like this that make me very glad to know that if I trust in the Lord and follow my gut, everything will always turn out just as it should be. So . . we will have a baby here very soon, just maybe not as soon as we originally expected. Thanks for checking in on us. We are so lucky to have such wonderful family and friends to look after us.

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

This is the turkey that Alexa decorated for school. It sports a real duck wing from her uncle Cody and is wearing a sign that says "Happy Thanksgiving. .Eat beef!" We each wrote what we are thankful for on a feather. It was a very fun project.

Bailey Boo

What is it about my little sugar baby that makes me want to squeeze and love her one minute and set her on the front step with a sign around her that says "Baby For Sale" the next?! I am adoring my sweet 16 month old baby Bailey, but my goodness this girl knows how to find trouble!
